Cornerstone Grace Brethren Church
Pastor Les Vnasdale was born and grew up in Mansfield in a home where he not only learned of God's love, but he also saw that love in action. He trusted Jesus as his Savior at a very young age.
After graduation from Mansfield Senior High School in 1963 and working in the labor force, God called him into the ministry - using a critical truck accident to "get his attention". He graduated from Grace Theological Seminary in 1981. The Lord directed him into foreign missionary service.
Following language study, he served with his wife, Ruth, under the Grace Brethren Church in the Central African Republic, Chad and Cameroon, Africa. In 1993, the Lord closed that door of ministry, and he has since been pastoring in Conservative Grace Brethren Churches locally. In June of 2007, the Agape Grace Brethren Church and the Cornerstone Grace Brethren Church merged, shepherded by Pastor Les.
He and Ruth married in 1966 and have two grown children: a daughter, Sheri Kotitschke who lives in Florida, and a son, Stephen, in Iowa. They have four granddaughters.
